going for CK
« on: December 10, 2007, 09:43:29 pm »
I'll be headed to Georgetown for CK x5, 1/7-1/11.  Who knows, maybe I'll see some snow while there.  Last year, our area had all of 15 minutes of snow.  And believe me, we all loved every second of it because it almost never happens.  Willl update when the tumor roasting is over with.

I just figured out that you hadn't actually scheduled the CK until now. So now the date is set, congratulations! I bet you start feeling better in the next few weeks, just knowing that you have set the wheels in motion.

Happy New Year.  :D

Hearing lasted a while, but left side is deaf now.
Right side is weak too. Life is quiet.

Actually, getting the consults over with lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.  I debated for many months as to what type of treatment and where to go for it.  But I'll be honest.  Within a short period of time after scheduling the treatment, the tension returned although nowhere near what it was before.  I guess it hit me that time for action is almost here.  Much better today.  Had another brief balance incident today (no fall) and was very tired.  Similar to when my Dilantin levels have been up too high.  If that keeps up, I may have to recheck the blood level even though I just had it done a few months back.  Never a dull moment around here.  Thank goodness the holidays are approaching, which is helping take my mind off of this little alien in residence.

I think Georgetown will take care of that little alien for you.  They seem to have roasted mine pretty thoroughly!
2 cm right-side AN, diagnosed July 2006
Cyberknife at Georgetown Univ. Hospital, Aug 2007
Swelled to 2.5 cm and darkened thru center on latest MRI's, Dec 2007 and Mar 2008
Shrinking! back to 2 cm, Aug 2008
Still shrinking (a little), I think about 1.7 cm now, Aug 2009
