Requires registration to view.
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Sorry about that.  I wasn't sure if I could legally copy/paste it here.  My favorite medical websites are emedicine and medscape.  They require registration but it's free.  I subscribe to a daily auto email from medscape that list brief summaries of health related news articles of that day and their sources.  You can click on the heading to read the entire article.  That's where this article came from, which of course immediately caught my eye.
The article basically says that retrospective research has found there is no link between occupational noise and the development of ANs.  It goes into detail about the stats and such.

Did it mention any think about post-an'er and occupational noise??? I can tell it it's NOT GOOD. Makes my ear buzz all the time and if it's too loud starts the headache to migraine process. Course they will amitt nothing IMO.
9/17/03, 4.5CM, Translab, OU Medical Center, Dr. (the ear man) Saunders and Dr. B. (the BrainMAN) Wilson  along with about 4 other Doctors that keep me going for 18 hours.

No, it didn't go into that.  I have yet to be treated and loud noises, especially sudden loud noises, sends mine into a tailspin.  If I run across anything else, I'll definitely post.
