Thank you for posting. A very interesting article indeed! The CEO of NexGenix pharmaceuticals that the article talks about is Dr. Alan Rubenstein who happens to be my neurologist. I haven't kept up for the past few months with the company news but they did make advancements in knowledge about NF2 and are now trying to test the first drug for it. That would be really great - a person with many tumors takes a pill and they are all under control!

Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.
