Nice story, Joe!  You're a celebrity!   :D

Where does the NJ gang usually meet?  I grew up in NJ (Ringwood - in North Jersey), but I'm temporarily in Nashville.  I usually get up to NJ about twice a year to visit my family - half in North Jersey and half in South Jersey.  Maybe one of my trips up there will coincide with one of your groups meetings.  Its always nice to be around people who "tawk" right.   ;)

Hey, Lori -

I didn't know you were from Jersey.

Are you a Springsteen fan???  Most people I know from Jersey are.

Jan,

Of course.  i think it's a requirement to like The Boss.  And Bon Jovi.  And don't forget Frank Sinatra...  I must say, Jersey does turn out a lot of good people... ;D

Joe D:

Great account of your AN experience.  I'm pleased to read that you came through the surgery well. had a complete recovery and clear follow-up MRI scan.  We need these factual, positive stories here as we get lots of the not-so-good-outcome kind.  Everyone needs a place to vent but positive stories need to be told, too, for proper balance.  Thanks for yours.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

It was great to read your positive experience.  it was also nice to put a face with the name.  I will be contacting you soon for another dose of "pre-surgical encouragement"
