I am home! Nicole222 update
« on: May 16, 2008, 09:05:08 pm »
I made it! My surgery was Friday, May 9th -- I had a great outcome and can't wait to share the details.  You all are a fabulous group and I can't wait to remain a part of this wonderful group and provide support to others as  well.  Great to be back! :)
Had surgery (retrosigmoid) May 9th, 2008 to remove a 3.5cm AN from left side.
Home one week later, no facial nerve damage.
SSD -Left ear.
Thankful daily for fantastic surgeons and wonderful family and friends.
34 years old.  Married mommy to Jordan, 23 months.

Hey Nichole

Welcome to the postie world and welcome home!  How are you doing?  Your surgery came up so fast that it dodn't seem like you had time to prepare.  I'm glad things worked out so well.

If you have any questions or concerns, fire away.

Have a great recovery.

Hi, Nicole...and Welcome Back!

I'm pleased to learn that your surgery went well and you're back to posting.  I also had a rapid diagnosis-to-surgery experience (barely two weeks) so I can empathize.  Still, you seem to be in good spirits, which bodes well for your recovery. Looking forward to reading your account of your experience when you're ready and able to post it.  Please don't feel any need to rush, we'll all be here.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
