Hi Guys,

I'm going on vacation Saturday, and I need it.  Keep up the investigative work while I'm gone, and just know that I will "be back" in a week.  Hope you all enjoy your break from me!!!

Good for you, Nancy. I saw you got your GK date in October. It may seem a long wait, but it will be here in no time.

Why not take the whole month of September off as a vacation, it seems to me you have earned it. Can you do that? :)

My last post here because I am in the process of packing.  Don't know about the whole month on Sept., but I will try to just hang out from time to time when I get back.  Have decided the waiting until Oct. 7th might not be so bad.  It will give me a lesson in patience, hopefully.  I've been researching my options since the beginning of June so that is quite a long time in my book.  Even Nancy Drew has to take a vacation every now and then.

Thanks for your support,

Nancy ;D ;D ;D

Hi!

I'm back early, and I couldn't resist getting back on the board.  Went to see my son in Oklahoma where he is stationed in the Air Force.  It was great seeing him.  He had to go back to work yesterday, and we couldn't find anything else left to do in OK City so we decided to head back to CO.  Yesterday my son got his orders to be deployed to Iraq in mid-Dec.  He will be there until June.  As a mother, it seems the worrying never stops no matter how old your child is.  I'm not so worried about my AN anymore so that is a good thing.

So, no more wishing me a nice vacation.  I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

Hi Steve,

Someone already put me on the calendar.  How sweet.  Thanks for thinking of me.  Yep,  I'm not freaking out about the time frame anymore.  Some of you are waiting even longer.

Welcome back, Nancy.  I know what you mean about having to worry - no matter the age.  My first grandchild, a boy, was born on Aug 11.  We had been told that he would have from 1-5 heart defects.  As it turned out, his heart was perfect,  That was a true blessing.  Everyone had been praying for him.  I will keep your son in my prayers.  Oct 7 will be here before you know it.

Hi Nancy,
Sorry to hear your son is being deployed to Iraq but will pray for his safe return.  Hope you enjoyed your time with him and will get to see him again before he shps out.  October 7 is right around the corner and will be here before you know it.  Try to keep busy so you don't dwell too much about your upcoming GK treatment.  Abotu two weeks before my surgery I suddenly felt a calm I didn't expect come over me and except for one brief setback felt that way up to and including the moment the anesthesia knocked me out.  I hope this happens for you too.

Best wishes,
Wendy
