Thanks for letting us know about it.  I checked it, but nobody else was there.  I'll have to check back from time to time.

The AN chat room has never seemed to get going much.        There are many of us who do the "mailing list" which is when someone posts and then it goes to the email of all who are signed up.            Some days we do several and other days almost none.                The home page does gives good info about ANs.

Speaking strictly for myself, I never utilize internet chat rooms because (a) I'm a two-finger typist and cannot keep up with most 10-finger typists and (b) I have no interest in hacking up perfectly good words to save time and/or keystrokes and by doing so, feel like I'm writing in an ersatz language, one that doesn't require much thought or offer any real beauty.  But that's just me.

For those who like to 'chat'  in real time, via the internet, feel free to do so on the AN Chat Room page.  I'll be over here if you need me.  CUL8R.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

I'm with Phyl.  I don't Yahoo, IM or chat either.

Phone, email and this forum are about it for me.

I guess count me into the group with Jim, Phyl and Jan. participating in this forum is about as close as I would get to"chatting". This environment seems "real time " enough for me to answer people's questions and I would prefer the phone if somebody wanted a more in depth conversation.

I am a newbie after recently being diagnosed with AN and would love to chat with someone about the gamma knife treatment which has been recommended.  After reading the risk factors, I am feeling rather uneasy about proceeding with this procedure. Is there anyone who would be willing to chat with me about this?  If yes, when would be a good date and time?
In gratitude, Catherine
