Thanks for the input joef.  Can't wait for that loud drill - it will bring back memories of my BAHA surgery 

Good point about the mercury, but it's really a non-issue for me.  The fillings are more than 30 years old and are starting to wear away so they really need to be replaced.

I had to take my BAHA off when I was having dental work done.  As soon as he started drilling it felt like my whole skull was vibrating - even when it was turned off!  I didn't want my head to fall off on the floor or anything!
