Yes, ...Steve, Dr Medberry is one of the best Doctors for AN or any other tumors for that matter. The more you know the more confident you can be. I can assure you that yes,...he did perform my radiation back then. I had to be put on a short waiting list for about 1 month but no one else did I feel comfortable with. Not that any of the other doctors at St Anthony couldn't have done it. I just thoroughly checked him and several others out. Because he was only a four hour drive away from home and my wife's from OKC, with family we could stay with; I felt it was the best choice for me.
For folks like us who live in the Midwest and don't want to travel to either of the USA, coasts for a specialist in AN tumors, I can strongly recommend him! Because he goes to other hospitals and clinicial visits, I do see his associate doctors for my follow-up MRIs and consultations. I can say the Dr Young, and Dr Morrison are great too. By the way, I am out 2 years, 2 months from my CK radiation and according to Dr Young, my tumor has actually started shrinking ever so slightly. I found this out Dec 30th, 2008. The headaches are gone, and other than my equilibrium and hearing loss, I am doing fine. That's what brought me back to this forum. I wanted to help those who need it based on my own experiences. I did finally get on Social Security Disability but not without a mountain of paperwork from my doctors. Not everyone here will qualify for it, but if you have any questions on that, feel free to ask or email me. I have other physical issues that combined with the AN problems made it possible.
Dr Medberry is on the
http://www.cyberknife.com/Forum.aspx and they did send me notice of that. I just had the other one saved in my favorites and I'll update that. Thanks for the reminder and sorry Jen for the wrong link. Dr Medberry has a great sense of humor but when it comes to questions or concerns you have, he is all down to business and I certainly trust him with what he has to say. So,...Jen...am I correct? You had a regrowth too?
