Post Op Tinnitus Nine Months Later
« on: March 07, 2009, 10:56:05 am »
I am 9 months after middle fossia surgery. My hearing was saved and I had no symptoms prior to surgery. In the last week at two different times my hearing has dropped by 50% and I have something that sounds like a train in the surgery ear. Both times it has gone away and the hearing has come back.  Has anyone had this problem or any ideas what this could be?

Mmm....if I were you I'd get in to see your neurotologist.  I know that hearing can deteriorate (I am hoping this is not the case for either of us) but I imagine that the tinnitus is part of the deal.  I still have some but it is very soft most of the time but  when it's loud it's like a cricket (not the game) storm.
Good luck,
