Jen,

I am late getting in here and just wanted you to know that I'm praying for you- you've had quite a lot to deal with and I just love your spirit.  I'm also glad you are getting a second opinion.

Enjoy your Pandora bracelet.  My daughter bought me one after I was first diagnosed with 3 beads.  One was her birthstone, one was the "journey" bead (for the journey we were about to take together), and the 3rd was a bead that had a bunch hearts on it that I attached a meaning of "friends and family" to.  I've since just about filled it up, but those original 3 beads will always be the focal point and always brings me back to how lucky I am to have such a wonderful daughter, friends, and family!!!

I can't imagine a more perfect gift for you - the beads are wonderful and you can build something that is very special to you.  What a great husband!!!

Take good care,

Kathy

Thanks Kathy!  You're really sweet..... I know the pandora bracelet has a lot of meaning to me!  I have an angel, heart, and a bird on it right now.  The bird represents the red cardinal that I see when I'm facing tough times.....  I did see the journey charm in the catalog and plan on getting that....

Take care,
Jen

Hi Jen,
I too am sorry for the hearing problem but am glad about the clean MRI. I'm glad you're feeling more encouraged now and at least know what's going on.

Jen and K - can't really add much to what everyone has already said. I wish you both the best and will pray for you both. You two are helpful and encouraging to many others!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hey Jen -- Good news about the MRI -- I know where you stand though.  I'm SSD in my AN ear and wear a hearing aid in my good ear.  It isn't fun.  Rather than spend time on the Forum talking about the difficulties, please feel free to PM me about hearing aids and the challenges.

Hi Jen,

I'm with you on the otosclerosis thing.  I first went to the ENT for a hearing loss in my right ear.  That plus the MRI was originally thought to be an AN, but turned out to be a meningioma.  I still have the otosclerosis and will need a hearing aid in the very near future. I still have decent hearing in the other ear, but expect that to fail eventually too, since it is already diminished.  But....I don't have a brain tumor at this moment, and I am grateful to have come through that in pretty good shape.  I just have to deal with what is in front of me at the moment.
My thoughts are with you and I hope that things work out as well as they possibly can!  And I love the Pandora bracelet I have too!  I think my husband loves it even more because now he isn't in a quandry about what to buy me as a gift. :D
