PROPOLIS STUDY ENDED IN OCT 2008 NO NEW GROWTH
« on: May 25, 2009, 07:01:42 pm »
I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU ARE AWARE OF THE PROPOLIS STUDY ON MICE, BUT THE SUBJECT STUDY WAS ON HUMANS AND STOPPED GROWTH. IT IS NOT A VERY LARGE SAMPLE BUT IF YOU LOOK INTO IT YOU MAY FIND IT SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO TRY OR AT LEAST FOLLOW.

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT OF THIS WITHOUT SURGERY OR CK/GK.
A WATCH AND WAITER.

Thank you so much, TOM101! These are incredible news! I hope Tony reads the article. I do not have any NF tumors right now (knock on wood, hope to keep this way forever) but should I develop any, I will try BIO 30 right away. Also, even though the article talks about NF2 tumors, sporadic ANs that were genetically tested in some studies contain, in fact, NF2 mutations, so this information can easily apply to sporadic ANs and somatic mosaic NF2s.

I am just wondering if BIO 30 has any preventive value, that is if I take it now, I won't develop any tumors?

             Eve
Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.

ITS A GOOD ANTIBIOTIC, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE ANYWHERE NEAR AS MUCH AS IF YOU WERE FIGHTING AN ACOUSTIC NEUROMA.

Thanks everyone
The mice (experiment with human tissue) is complete - went well
The Human field (unofficial) trail is ongoing now
About 60 folk world wide are on regular dosages
2-3 are showing stopped or even slight shrinkage at about 12 mths
(which is the longest exposure)
The rest are 3-6-9 mths usage only
many show stopped at 3-6-9 mths
- but that is not conclusive with NF2
- a quiet spell of up to a year is quite common ?
So if in 9 mths time we have 20-30 stopped at 12-18mths
we have a winner
I would decribe the current situation as looking promising ?
PS the cost of avastin (originally cancer, now NF2 trial)
is about $90,000 per patient year
the Bio costs about $400 per patient year - go figure..
fingers crossed ?
Tony
