Right mid fossa 11-01-01
  left tumor found 5-03,so have NF2
  trans lab for right facial nerve tumor
  with nerve graft 3-23-06
   CSF leak revision surgery 4-07-06
   left mid fossa 4-17-08
   near deaf on left before surgery
   with hearing much improved .
    Univ of Iowa for all care

Right 3cm AN diagnosed 1/2007.  Translab resection 2/20/07 by Dr. David Kaylie and Dr. Karl Hampf at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.  R side deafness, facial nerve paralysis.  Tarsorraphy and tear duct cauterization 5/2007.  BAHA implant 11/8/07. 7-12 nerve jump 9/26/08.

I'm so happy for you!  Prayers were answered.  Congratulations!  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Lori, that thought occurred to me.  My family might have been happy to have me shut up for awhile since I might have to have my jaw wired shut! HA  See I had ALL sorts of scenarios going on there for a day or two!  Sheesh

Well, we probably all are a little gun shy now about the small risk factors of rare complications.  We ALL know that "rare" happens to somebody.  Ya kind of feel like you are one of those ducks in a shooting gallery, weaving and ducking and running for cover trying to dodge the bullets headed in your direction.  Dodged this one!

The imagination is  a crazy thing. I always think worst case scenario too. Why do we do that???!!!!!!!
