We need 5 more people if we want to reserve plus a taxi for those who need to ride there... or back to the drawing board with finding another restaurant :-\

Are there any other lurkers  ;) who are thinking about coming?

Can we let symposium organizers know about the dinner? Maybe they'd like to come. For instance, wouldn't it be great if Jackie Diehls could do our very own private round table?

Just a thought . . .

I'm lurking out here to see what the final decision is.  I will check with my daughter who is coming with me.  She's a vegetarian, so I'll have her look at the Gino's menu and then we'll decide.  I can let you know within a couple days.

In Lurk mode,

Hey I would be just thrilled if Jackie Diels came for our Thursday informal dinner! Who can put the bug-in-her-ear so she will want to join us?  ;D

I personally need to thank her profusely for putting me in contact with my neuromuscular facial retraining therapist- Wanda Crook. (Wanda and Dr Ng, my Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmologist, have been the shining lights in this post op recovery journey when other medical practioners said little could be done or outright refused to help me. Because of these two - we are hopefully going to have a Portland Oregon neuroma muscular facial re-education clinic up and running at OHSU in the next few months here. Finally!!) Jackie was a catalyst there…

Back on thread here (sorry tangent overcame me)….

I am confident some lurkers will come forward to join us for Thursday’s supper and we will have at least 15 to book our own room for dinner… (And a taxi can be ordered for those who are not up to walking from the hotel to the restaurant.) We still have a few days to pull this together… I am confident it WILL come together.

Ok you lurkers it is time to come out now… Who else is joining us for Thursday’s supper?
 ;D

Gee, I heard back from my daughter faster than I thought.  She must have been at her computer!

You can put me down for TWO for dinner at Gino's, extra napkins and straws.

Samantha

p.s.  Since I don't know anyone, let me know when and where we should meet.  In the Lobby of the Drake?  At the restaurant?  If it is only a few blocks we can walk.

Samantha, will you and your daughter be going to the Field Museum as well?

Either way, that's THIRTEEN now for dinner.

Do we need to get advance tickets to the Pirate exhibit? If so, have we determined a time?

Plus my husband wasn't on the list either as he will be with me for some events but not at the actual symposium.  I will pay extra for him to come to the banquet though.                    He gets to sightsee Sat.
You can buy your tickets ahead online if know you are going to the museum for sure.      Otherwise just stand in line there at the ticket counter.
Jackie is very friendly but think it would be hard at a restaurant for us all to hear her talk.         Alot of what she will tell you at the symposium is what is on her info on the bellspalsy website.
