BAHA healing question
« on: August 07, 2009, 07:31:15 am »
One week BAHA post-op and last night and today I notice the very top of my scalp has become tender to the touch and is a little numb.  Didn't notice it the first week, just last night and today.  Any of you notice that and if so, did it go away?

It gets better... the fact that you are a little tender now is good!   however... everyone is a little different ... I'm 4 years post op .. and it still a little numb... but I dont notice anymore

I definitely had that, it almost felt like a bruise when I touched it, and yet very numb. I couldn't feel my nails when I scratched my scalp.
It does go away, I think about the 3 week mark. I had my surgery in April, and sometimes it feels "tight" but it comes and goes, and it's very mild.

Hi Mike!
I'm sure you'll let us know how the BP100 is as soon as you can get it. I can't wait to hear how you like it. I still don't have a date :( Oh well, I'm sure I'll hear something soon......

I had weird thing happen today, kind of like you described when you are working. I hit my abutment with my watch band. (I was pulling my hair up), and WOW, what a creepy feeling. It felt like I had aluminum foil on my teeth. It lasted for a few minutes after.

Anyone else experience this?
