Places to stay near MGH
« on: August 16, 2009, 01:31:02 pm »
If I end up having surgery, it will be at MGH.  Does anyone know of a good inexpensive place close by my mother can stay while I'm there?  Preferably within walking distance.  She won't leave me for a minute.  I'm very lucky to have her.  It is too far for her to drive home every night.

Thank you.
Proton Radiation for my hemangioma at MGH December 2009.  Hearing has improved.  Doing great!

Both MEEI and MGH can give you lists of local places to stay.  There are a ton of hotels in that area including a Holiday Inn across the street from MGH.  These are hospitals that many people travel great distances for, so they are experienced in helping patients and their families find places.  You can also check on their website - I remember there being lots of info available there.

Thank you Katie.  Tell me you love Dr. McKenna?  I see him 8/24...
