Well, O.K. you've got me there.     Yes, it is gratifying to hammer up a hill and completely drop a 30-40 yr old biker who thinks he's hot.    On the other hand, I've been on the receiving end of it too unfortunately!!!      I'm old, but I'm not dead!!!      What I meant by it thoug seriously is to concentrate on distance and endurance training instead of speed work.   These days, its all about being able to hang in there for the long haul!!!!   :o

With that being said, I did enjoy being at full speed on a fully sheeted in windsurfer,  blowing the doors off of the kite board guys in Nantucket this summer.   Unfortunatly, I needed to retire to the beach after a few runs to sit with by my three year old and recuperate.............................the mind was willing but the body was weak.
Diagnosed 1/14/09 - 2.4cm AN right side --- about 70% cycstic
Retrosigmoid wiih McKenna & Barker - total removal successful on April 13th.
Issues: balance, facial & mouth numbness, hearing loss right side
Results:   numbness gone, balance is good, SSD right side. Great results.

How are you doing these days? Are you still part of the competition? I’ve been thinking about you and hope everything is going well. I’m in a similar situation myself and plan to reach out to rundisney customer service soon to explain my condition and see what options might be available. It’s been a tough road, but I’m determined to get back to living a normal life and doing all the things I love. Running has always been a big part of who I am, and I don’t want to give up on it just yet. Fingers crossed they’ll be understanding and help me figure out a way forward
