Melinda,

Congrats on your recovery and thanks for posting your progress- it was reassuring to know that you are feeling better so quickly.

I'm scheduled for Sept. 23rd and I'm thrilled to have found this forum and others who can relate to what's going on.

Thanks for sharing,

Melinda,
Happy for your good recovery.  Just to compare notes . . .  I'm creeping up on 6 months out and still have salty taste, tinnitus is better, hyperacusis not so much but I'm getting used to it.  I just scheduled a BAHA consult for November 4.  I feel like there's a brick wall on that side of my head.
Keep on truckin'!

Thanks all!  I'm still doing very well, learning to cope with the ssd and tinnitus....I did not expect the tinitus to be so bothersome!  It seems like the louder it is in a room, etc, the louder it gets. :-\

Nancy, I know what you mean about the brick wall.

Unfortunately this is the case so  you'll figure it out- what restaurants to avoid, which places to avoid. Kind of a bummer, but just all about getting to know the "new you."
Also good excuse to not go places that you didn't like going to in the first place! (I have those anyway ;))
Know how you feel....
