I think the trick is to make everything you eat COUNT, and not eat what they call "empty calories." My downfall is really good artisan-baked BREAD dipped in Olive Oil and balsamic vinegar. I just gotta have a chunk with my salad! My local baker, Jep makes the best bread on earth--each loaf weighs about a ton and can be used as a door stop. My favorite is Kalamata olive- rosemary--no...no... it's Fresh Basil Parmesan. He is quite health conscious and uses a bit of whole grain in everything for "weight" he says.
Olive oil is fattening, but it keeps the pipes clean. I really avoid the sugar free stuff--they just trigger my sweet tooth. And I'm trying to get in a serving of lean dairy 3x a day. Even been using lo-fat milk in my coffee--which is a stretch for a 1/2 and 1/2 user!
Been eating a big salad every day--guess I need to use a little less dressing--I make my own vinegrette.
My trainer Marshall is a 24 yr old Greek God, only not really Greek. Just about the sweetest person I've ever met besides Dr. Love. He has a 2 lb toy chihuahua named Anabelle and he's not gay! Got her in a split from former girlfriend. The woman that ends up with him will be a very lucky lady!
Anyway, since I've been working out I can already see a difference in my energy level. I don't get tired nearly as easy and I've been sleeping less and lots better.
Anyway that's the news from the Lake Wobegone Spa and Fitness Center!
So, get off the couch and go for a walk, y'all!! If I gotta do it, so do you!
