This Week 9/13 in the AN World
« on: September 13, 2009, 04:03:40 pm »
The leaves have begun to turn color here in Central New England, my favorite time of year.  The beautiful colors, cooler temperatures, and no bugs make for a very enjoyable season.

We have another fairly quiet week for procedures.

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are all open days on the AN Calendar.

Tuesday Steve will be celebrating his two year CK anniversary.  Steve, besides being one of our esteemed Global Moderators, you have been a lifeline to so many of us, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Thursday Vivian will be having her first W&W MRI follow-up.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers that the results show no further action needs to be taken.

Saturday is Rosh Hashanah.

For those that are recovering, prayers and good thoughts are sent your way.

Rich & Scarlett
SML (Scarlett's) other half, she had - 1.5 cm x 2.5 cm Cystic AN - Right side

no facial issues, SSD right side, balance issues to work on.
The AN Calendar is here: http://www.my.calendars.net/AN_Treatments

We're in denial about any leaves changing color up here, Rich.  Had a very pleasant summer day with a paddle out to an island for picnic lunch today.  So there!
Happy Anniversary, Steve!  Do you have annual MRIs, too?
Good luck, Vivian.  I remember those days.  Me, too, always in September since the very first (I'm sure you don't have this.  It's very rare.  I just have to check since it would be unethical not to.) was 9/19/01.  So many years I was granted a leap for joy when the results showed no growth.  Hope the same for you.
Watch and Wait since 9/19/01
Increased from 1.1 x 1.9 to 1.9 x 1.9 cm as of 10/27/08
Right SSD, tinnitus, compensating balance
Dr. McKenna at Mass Eye and Ear and Dr. Barker at MGH
Translab April 8, 9 hours, 18 mm Tumor all gone SSD some facial weakness

Rich ~

Thanks for the AN Treatment Calendar synopsis.  You're right, it's an 'easy' week in AN-land.  I agree, the New England weather is gorgeous.  Too bad, winter follows.

I wish Vivian a good MRI follow-up and a rousing happy 2nd CK anniversary cheer to my fellow moderator, Steve.

Well, that was easy!

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Steve -- Congratulations on your upcoming two year CK anniversary.  Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?

Vivian -- I hope your visit to the TOG is uneventful and shows a stable tumor.  Wishing you good luck and no new growth.

Rich,

Thank you for the update!
Steve - best wishes on your 2nd year anniversary - awesome!

Vivian - My thoughts & prayers for an uneventful trip thru the TOG - keep us posted, ok?

----------------
I also read that Carrie is having an MRI today for returning symptoms - prayers all around that you find some answers and relief.
----------------------

No leaves 'officially' turning here in Virginia. However, the cooler days, and cool nights reminds us that Fall is here!

Sincerely,
Sue

No leaves changing here yet.  In fact, summer seems to have finally found it's way to Chicago.  Yesterday the temps were in the high 70s - I actually got a sunburn at a Cubs' game - and today promises to be a steamy 86.

Happy Anniversary Steve.  Thanks for ALL you do here on the forum - you are a man who has a great way with words and with a knitting needle  ;D

Good luck in the tube of gloom Vivian and Carrie - I'm hoping the news is good for both of you.

Best,

Jan

Thanks for the well wishes. I have celebrated this weekend by rebuilding my home computer, thanks to the invasion of a dreaded root kit. I am mainly posting so I can get my favorite links saved again. :)

Best wishes to Vivian. Nancy my last MRI was in March, and the next one is a year from now, an 18 month interval.

The fall forecast for Portland OR is cloudy with scattered sun breaks.  8)
