surgery ?
« on: September 24, 2009, 03:56:11 pm »
Anyone know of anyone that has had the surgery or procedure that widens the tear duct so tears can drain normally and the two stitches that tighten the skin/lower eyelid?  I am scheduled for Oct 7 and would like to talk to someone that has had these two procedures...

I had a different kind of surgery to help drain tears:  I had a pyrex tube put in the inner corner of my eye, it goes down through bone & drains into my sinus.
I'm really glad I had it done.   Every 6 months I have to have the tube replaced (just did it the 1st time Monday, no problems, went after work).
When I 'suck in' through my nose the tears go down the tube !  Sometimes it works slower than others,  but it works & I'm very happy with it.

Always good thoughts, Nancy
