Begining of the 5th week of recovery
« on: November 22, 2009, 07:49:44 am »
To all my friends out there, this will be my last recovery post. I consider myself back to normal. I went shopping at the mall yesturday, walked the mall in the late afternoon. Looking at all the shoppers who were out doing some Holiday shopping, thinking no one can even tell that I had this surgery done a little over 4 weeks ago as I push my daughter in her wheelchair. Letting her do some shopping. I am truly blessed. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving week, Debi

Debi ~

Congratulations on your recovery!  Although your recovery posts will be missed, I'm delighted to learn how well you're progressing and that you're regaining your 'normal' life.  Well done!  :)

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Actually it is the ending of my 8th week post op and I am feeling really silly because I am back to normal and have been for sometime now. I still feel blessed. Today, I took my daughter out to lunch, went to target to buy a Christmas tree, went food shopping, cooked dinner. I walked the dogs, put the tree together, decrated it and the house too. Had to run back to Walmart to pick some candles for the center piece. Came back home, washed dishes and then dyed my hair.

I just hoped that I have inspired many of you out there, who are thinking about surgery. There are some pretty great out comes in this forum besides myself. Debi
