Wear your mukluks to the truck and carry your Manolos to the restaurant.

BTW, a pic of the Jingle Bell Run made the first page of today's newspaper. You could only see Elbee's and my hats, but you could see Daisy and the caption cited 18 runners plus one dog. She's famous!

Gorgeous pictures, Captain.

I'm glad they are in black & white.  In my opinion, that makes them more beautiful - I think color would take something away from them.

Sadie looks incredibly happy  ;D

Happy anniversary to you and Dr. Love - may you celebrate many, many more years of wedded bliss.

Merry White Christmas Capt'n. We got 18" today but I love it. Makes all our remaining Christmas trees out back so beautiful. We dug ourselves out and went to the movies though...we were the only ones there.... ;D

Love the pics but especially Sadie....makes me a bit sad though. Samba my lab/shep loved the snow. She used to run with her head buried and just plow along. We lost her last Feb after 15 years. She was famous for her soccer playing...a dog coat co in the UK sent her this coat and she entertained 100's of kids over the years.

Well, we hiked down the driveway to the truck for our date--saw "Avatar"--the coolest movie EVER!!  I want to be a big blue girl-warrior and live on Pandora!  When we came home, guess what? Someone had plowed our driveway!!  I have no idea who, but I was ready to walk down the hill for a week or so.  A random act of kindness!  The cabin next door is a short-term rental and we ran into the folks who had it for the week-end and they were waiting for a plow so they could get up to cabin.  Guess the plow guy had a few minutes to spare and did us, too! God bless him!

PS, Jan--those pics aren't in black and white--it is just a black and white world after a heavy snow!

Stay warm, everyone!!

We were supposed to have snow today and tomorrow, but it's raining instead - and is supposed to turn into a wintry mix tomorrow night. If it were snow we would sure be getting a lot.

But we can have a merry Christmas anyway even if it is not white.

Is now a bad time to tell you guys that we're mid-60's with high predicted in the low-70's?  Of course, we're gonna have low's in the 30's starting tomorrow supposedly...  Gotta love Houston weather..  :)

No, I don't gotta love it, not this past fall!  I am so tired of gray, rainy days that keep my kids inside at recess. If we have to have precipitation, snow would be a welcome change.  Snow days are fun because they cancel school. Rainy days are a drag unless I get to be at home baking cookies and watching old movies.  :D

Any ol' day you want to bake me cookies is fine with me..  rain, shine, gray, snow, sleet, hail, etc..  I'm always up for cookies!  Heheh..  True enough about the rain and "gray" days..  I think I'm done with them now..  I'd move further south for more sunshine, but me spanish no speaky no goodo.  :)

???  Wait a minute, then why aren't the fir trees behind the church green?  And what about the snow covered van and shed in the picture with Sadie?

I'm enjoying lots of white here, but my van is still blue and the fir tree in my front yard - while covered with snow - is still green.

Jan,

They're definitely not black and white pix.. Look closely at the stake in the road pic and the car light in that pic.  They just look black and white because it's dimly lit and things that are dark green appear black.  They definitely appear to be NOT black and white, though.

Regards,

Okay, I'll give you the slight bit of red on the brake light as well as some on the wooden stake in the last picture of the road, since I do see that, but I'm still confused by the fir trees.
