Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.

4cm Left, 08/22/07 R/S 11+ hr surgery Stanford U, Dr. Robert Jackler, Dr. Griffith Harsh, Canadian fellow Assist. Dr. Sumit Agrawal. SSD, 3/6 on HB facial scale, stick-on-eyeweight worked, 95% eye function@ 6 months. In neuromuscular facial retraining. Balance regained! Recent MRI -tumor receded!

Someone from the forum forwarded me a link to your post and I was happy to look at the pictures and learn that you are fine. You also reminded me that on the NY it was 101 days since my surgery :) How's it working out with the kids? I am almost unable to say where the sound is coming from anymore... hope I am not gonna get attacked by a bear in the woods or smth. like that - I'll be careful.

Anyways it was great lo learn you were doing great! Happy 2010 to you, your husband (David?), of course, to Dr. Brackmann, Dr. Schwartz and everyone else on the team of doctors and nurses to whom I am thankful for my outcome. Happy New Year to everyone on the forum - it helped me a lot to tackle the problem and come out with a solution which is right for me!

Left side AN 2.3cm 2/2009, 2.7cm 7/2009, 3.3cm (at treatment). Retrosigmoid in 9/2009 by Drs. Brackmann and Schwartz at HEI. Lost hearing in the left ear (and the directional hearing along with it), so far (1/2010) no other complications

Diagnosed - 09/29/09 with 1.9cm x 2.1cm x 1.7 cm right side AN - Like a huge Greek oliver in my head... Thus named Oliver...

Translab - 12/11/09 at UofIA Healthcare
Complete tumor removal. Facial nerve perserved.

Dealing with facial issues and wonkyheadiness now.
