Hello friends!

I am writing to let you know that my mom, Lynn, had translab surgery yesterday and the doctor reported that he removed the whole tumor in just under 8 hours.  She is doing remarkably well, I think, but is experiencing extreme stiffness in her neck and her head aches more than I can imagine.  I share this because I know many of you can relate and you know that she is on the upswing.

I also want to share with you a touching experience from yesterday, one that reflects what an incredible community this AN Forum is.  As I was waiting in the waiting room yesterday and hoping for the best, I was really touched because Scarlet and Rich just happened to be at MGH and stopped in to introduce themselves and give me their wishes for my mom's surgery and speedy recovery.  Thank you Scarlet and Rich for that and thank you to this forum for all of the well wishes, insight and support you have given to Lynn.

Happy trails,

Vicki

Great news Vicki,

A sore neck is a very common thing after surgery. It will get better in the next week. Hang in there with her. You'll never know how important your being there is to her recovery. Glad to hear the good news. Thanks for the update.

Great news, Vicki!
So glad to hear things went well, and less than 8 hours. That is good.
First 3 days are usually "icky" but sounds like she is doing great.
Gentle hugs,
