Irritated nerve?

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this:

A week ago, I had a wreck on one of my horses--I got flipped upside down underneath him after he fell and struggled back to his feet, and while I didn't hit the ground that hard, I was still sore for a few days (and lucky I didn't get stepped on!).  I avoided hitting my head, but I hurt my neck a little bit keeping it off the ground.  A few days later, I noticed a tingling/warm/slightly numb sensation in a couple of spots on the "bad" side of my face.  Not all the time, just for maybe a minute or 2 and then it goes away.  Maybe getting jostled around so violently irritated my nerve?  I wondered if anybody else had experienced something like that after a trauma.
