Lot's of good news to share! My youngest daughter is getting married on Saturday, she is 34 and this is her first marriage. She has waited a long time to find her soul mate and we all approve. I couldn't have hand picked a nicer guy! They will be presenting me with another grand child in July (this from the daughter who doctors have told since she was thirteen that would never be able to conceive a child) Miracles happen everyday!
The first offer on our home fell through. The bank had given preapproval, but the folks couldn't get the loan. :-( Yesterday we got a cash offer, quite a bit over the asking price. We already had three bank appraisals done and the inspection was done a few months ago and the people accepted those documents. (I think they are a little anxious) The kicker to the whole thing was that they wanted to close on February 12! We finally convinced them to move the date to February 26....I explained that I hung up my Wonder Woman cape a while back. They are transferring from out of state. A minister and his lovely wife, who is expecting a new baby. We are excited and anxious all at the same time.
The next news is that my husband landed a contract in Galveston for the replacement of a/c units in eleven buildings which have sixteen condos in each. He will be replacing a minimum of five in each building. By the time he completes the task, the hot season will be with us and business will be booming! We are blessed. Prayers work and even though our credit took a huge nosedive with the loss of my husband's job, our car was totaled by an illegal with no insurance and our insurance company refused to cover under the terrorist clause (didn't know they could do that, check your auto and homeowner's policies) we are going to become known as the "come back kids"...er "come back old people". We are on our way back up!
I also want to thank all of you who have offered prayers and words of encouragement. There were days when I didn't know if I was going to make it through all of this. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hugs,
Brenda
