2 months post CK and choosing phone consult
« on: March 07, 2010, 05:32:28 pm »
I am 2 months post CK and only feel a wave of tiredness around 6 or so most days after teaching all day and rest for 1/2 hour and then okay. Sometimes I feel like I have cotton in my ear but otherwise nothing. I had option for face to face appointment in Redwood City this Tuesday with one of the neurosurgeons but didn't want to take time off from work, drive over Bay Bridge is unpredictable for traffic could be 90 minutes. Reading forum it didn't sound like i would know anything by now anyway. Wonder if I made the right choice?
Thanks,
Susan

I think your choice is fine. If they are not doing an MRI or a hearing test, there isn't a whole lot they can do in person that they can't do over the phone. At two months they would just be looking for a sign of swelling severe enough to warrant using steroids. Everything else is pretty much wait and see till the first follow up MRI, usually at 6 months.

Hang in there. ;)
