DL~
Are y'all looking for like a 5th Wheel or just a trailer?  I know someone with one for sale but it is just a pop up.  Have you checked ebay?  I know that sounds weird but my brother got a car on there - it has been great & he is still driving it!

Kay, I haven't been on here in a few days, and just saw this. Congrats on moving to Houston. I know it can be traumatic moving...we've done it 10 times(when our kids were pretty young). Even though my wife and I are originally from Oklahoma, we consider ourselves Houstonians now. Good luck on the move....can't wait to meet up sometime. Sounds like you already are pretty familiar with the area, but let me know if you need any help.

I am very excited to have Kay become the newest member of our Houston Chapter of the ANA support group!  She will be very welcomed anywhere in the Houston area she decides to settle.
I'm hoping to be able to catch a soccer game or two, to watch her girlies play!

Donnalynn,

My area is full of all kinds of trailers, fifth wheels and all the rest of the recreational vehicles for sale  check Craigslist for Houston and Galveston...............we also have two wonderful airports.....for the North part of town and internal flights...Intercontinental or Bush, for the Southern parts of the city, it is Hobby Airport...Southwest, Delta and several others fly into that airport.

Donnalynn,
Go to www.craigslist.org/houston  and you will find probably more than you are looking for!!  You can also click on any major city and they usually pop up!

Craigslist rocks, Donnalynn. I'm getting rid of all kinds of excess furniture that way. Might be a good way for Kaybo to purge if she doesn't want to do a yard sale.

Good luck with your move to Houston, K

Moves are no fun. I remember, and I had the military packing us! Now I understand about waiting for the BAHA after you get the girlies settled.

When I am a winter texan in Corpus Christi, maybe we can meet up (in 5 -10 years :D)

Maureen,

It's so much easier with the military moving you - just break everything beforehand and save them the trouble.  That way, there's not dissapointment on the other end of the move - you already know what condition it's going to be in!   :o

Kay, you'll do just fine.  And think of how much you can get done with Donnalynn helping you pack!  How sweet of her to make the trip!  And I know she'll want to swing through Virginia Beach on the way - I'll probably be packing to move around that time too!  See, Donnalynn, you can help us both with just one trip!  Isn't that nice of us to do that for you?   ;)

So Lori, you're not moving AGAIN, are you?

Miraculously, we never had any problems with broken or stolen items. We didn't have  much nice stuff, and what we did we pre packaged or took it with us in our car. You should have seen our car :o :o My husband was insistent on pre bubble wrapping lots of items. Also helped that we didn't have to move like every two years (or one year).

Our last move, he was in Afghanistan, so it was just me. I did the minimum, and everything came back intact :) :)

Distant memories now, wheewwwww.

Is someone packing you up, K? Hope so....

Well...we think that it will include packer/movers (it better - I don't think Dave would do it if it didn't).  HOWEVER, we are still waiting on HR with the final details - even though he is there working this week! - and we found out yesterday that the reason why it hasn't been approved is that the MAIN, BIG boss says she didn't know about it!!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME????  I have been living in limbo for about 3 months here waiting on them to make up their minds.  Even though moving was NOT what I wanted, I was glad to have an answer (& we think that us being in Houston is God's will)...now I'm back to limbo land!  AAAARRRRGGGGG!!!

Kay, are you sure Dave didn't join the military and forget to tell you?  Sounds typical to me!   ;)

Moe, we are in military housing at the moment and were waiting for the house in TN to sell before we bought something here.  Now the the house in TN is FINALLY sold, we're shopping for one in VA.  It won't be a long move - within a couple of miles so my kids will be at the same school and I'll be close to the beach.  I learned after my first military move not to buy any furniture that I actually like or that has any value (which is also a good guideline when one has small children and pets anyway).  Maybe after this next move, which had better be my last, I'll actually get some nice furniture.

Donnalynn...always one step ahead.  You're supposed to stop here AFTER you've helped Kay pack!   :D

OK - so for TODAY...the move to Houston is back ON..."Lillian" approved it - the only glitch left is for the HUGE boss to sign off but they don't think that will be a problem since he just depends on his other people to really work stuff like that & then he signs off.  Dave's new DIRECT boss must have seen the package b/c he told Dave that he "would really be pleased"  He is actually driving around one of the communities now and we are talking on the phone...wish I could look at the houses too.  Hopefully soon...
