Hey, Doc!  Thanks for making note of the meeting out here...I had plans to do it, just hadn't done it yet ;)  Glad to know you'll be there - know we have several who are coming that don't participate here on the forum, but I hope some others from here do come also...

See you on Saturday - snow should not be a factor this time :D

I have not been on this site since Apr 9;.  I won't be able to attend the meeting.  I hope I will be able to come to the next one.

On Apr 12, my 31-year-old daughter, my only child, was headed to Macon GA (about 1.5 hr from home) for a class.  She was an RN who worked at the Medical Center in Macon.  At 7:30am, outside of Milledgeville, the driver of an 18-wheeler crossed into her lane and hit her head-on.  Needless to say, she did not survive.  She was married and has a 20-month-old son.  I still can’t believe it happened.  It did not have to happen.  Our grandson is what is keeping us going.

God has given me the strength to get through this.

Grace

Grace .....

I am so sorry!  Losing a child has to be a terrible blow, especially when it happens under these circumstances.

Many, many thoughts and prayers for peace and strength in the coming days.

Thank you so much, Sara.  Everybody's prayers have helped get me through this.  Even though the loss of Rita was devastating, the Lord had our family in his open hands that awful morning.  The last time Rita had a class, she took Renner, her son, with her and a girl she works with babysat him.  That girl could not keep Renner on Apr 12, so we still have a part of Rita with us every day.

Clarice,

Yes, it is indeed an awful blow.  You never think you child will be gone before you are.  Thank you for your prayers.

Grace ~

My condolences on the loss of your daughter, Rita.   May God comfort you as you mourn the inexplicable death of your adult child.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18

Oh, Grace...so, so very sorry.  Can only imagine what you and your family must be going through.  This and similar tragedies we sometimes hear of on the forum always puts our AN problems in perspective doesn't it...

Many hugs to you, Grace.  Take care,

Cindy
