Surgery Date
« on: May 04, 2010, 12:02:14 pm »
Doctor Mickey decided that it was time for surgery.  I had GK 05/2007.  The radiation team and Doctor Mickey decided that I was one of the special people (1 per cent) that GK did not work for.  Will have translab 06/03/2010 with Doctor Roland at UTSW in Dallas.  Will be glad to have "Bubba" finally out.  It sure has been a roller coaster ride.

WOW, Cathy, you certainly have had a roller coaster ride.  Some of these buggers can be very persistent and defy the odds ..... sorry you had to have one of them.  Glad that you have a date set to get it out and move on with your life.

Many thoughts and prayers.

Hi Cathy ~

I'm sorry you require surgery but you'll be in the thoughts and prayers of many on June 3rd.  I've added your surgery date to our AN Treatment Calendar: http://my.calendars.net/an_treatments/d03/06/2010?authenticate=&display=M&style=B

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
