Good morning!
Hope this finds you and Jim in good spirits. So glad to hear that things are not worse, but status quo and indeed better.
Still uncertainty, but at least you know his pancreas is good, and the liver blood tests are normal.
He is a mystery.
Will he continue on coumadin? And my question is, are his legs looking all better?
And do they think he is still "throwing" clots?

Anyway, thanks for the good news, and we will continue to pray for stress free days, and good health for both of you.
Cheers, :-*

Donnalynn,

I can understand why you are 'celebrating' cautiously.  How frustrating that you have no definitive answers, although right now the fact that the PET didn't show cancer is a big win.  I hope Jim continues to improve.

I am a believer in holistic/natural healing and I think this could go a long way for Jim, especially if you've been given this 'warning'.  The naturopathic doctor at the herbal pharmacy that I went to when Den was diagnosed was really enthusiastic about the benefits of juicing.  They also got me going on an alkaline water machine.  Have you heard of them?  They can be pricey (unfortunately) but the theory is that if you bring your PH to a neutral state your body can not be 'diseased'.  You drink a ton of water each day to bring your PH up (many foods we eat tend to be acidic).  In addition, it's just great water with no chlorine or chemicals.  If you haven't already, I'd suggest you read up on it.  They're huge over in Japan and are making their way over here slowly.  I don't have any huge 'miracle' stories from my own experience, but I feel good knowing that I'm at least not loading more 'stuff' into my body.  I wonder though if it would be a great thing for Jim to cleanse his liver (I use the word cleanse loosely, it's not like one of those cleansing systems that you buy at the store-it's just good water).

I hope he continues to improve for you, and life soon 'levels out' with no more medical issues to deal with.  You've had your share the last while, that's for sure.

Hang in there.......

Hi, Donnalynn ~

Thanks for the update on your Jim - and the good news, within.  Although all his medical mysteries have yet to be solved, mainly, the cause of the clotting, things are definitely looking a lot better at this point.  I realize your cautious optimism is prudent but I trust you can both relax a bit (and we're all thankful for the answered prayers).  Your appreciation for the folks here is gratifying and another example of your graciousness and humility in the face of adversity.  I hope and will pray for continued good news for both you and your husband.

So glad you finally got the answer that there is no cancer at this time...even though you still don't have all the answers you seek, try to enjoy that positive news and relax for a bit...you guys have been through so much.  Take a deep breath and live in peace for awhile, ok?

Hugs to you all,

Cindy

Donnalynn,

Been watching...hoping to hear good news. I'm glad they didn't find anything, but certainly understand that it is all still unnerving. You know I believe that natural, whole foods, and natural remedies can help. PM me if you need any referrals or whatever.

Take care my friend,

Hi Donnalynn,

Just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you and Jim.  I'm glad to hear that things are looking better for Jim so that you both can relax a bit.  From what I've read you still have lots of doctor visits to contend with and research to do to find out what is best for Jim but at least the urgency has subsided.  I can't imagine what it must be like to have this on your mind all the time.  Hopefully the upcoming Holiday season gives you a chance to relax and enjoy being together, ok maybe relax isn't the right word to use.  As the stores and tv ad's remind us that Christmas is coming it makes me think of starting the baking which reminds me of the cookie thread here on the forum which reminds me of when I first started to get to know you.  When are you going to make Jim his Christmas Cake Bon Bon's.  I know, I know, I'm just as bad as the stores aren't I.  I should at least wait until after Thanksgiving, oh yea, you guys already had your Thanksgiving so on with Christmas preparations right?  Take Care, Jill ;)

Donnalynn, sweetie,

Just checking in--so glad Jim seems to be holding his own.  I'm seeing a great pain specialist trying to get some semblance of getting my life back--working on the back first until the Botox in my head wears off, then going for nerve ablations in the head--chronicled in the headache section.

Thinking of you and your family and hope it's not too cold up there yet!!!!

Hugs and kisses,

Capt Deb

Hi Donnalynn, I've been assuming no news is good news - but would still like to ask if there is any news? I had Jim's name in my heart during congregational prayers for the sick this morning.

Donnalyn, I am glad Jim is doing okay.  I do want to say that if I was homeless in northern Canada, or middle Canada, and possibly Southern Canada, or Northern USA...I'd be figuring out a way to hop a freight south.  Shiver me timbers!!
