My thyroid surgery is Thursday, Oct 7th--will probably head to Charlotte Wednesday AM so I can get in for pre-ops--still don't know if I have to do that as the surgical dept won't return my phone calls about meeting the day before with the anesthesiologist.  Jeesh this is getting stressful!!   These people haven't grasped the concept that it is a 3 1/2 hour trip to the hospital and riding in the car triggers my sacroiliitis up to about a pain level 10.  Taking the dog with us so I can't lay flat in the back seat, but I may put Sadie up front and do that anyway!

Just really frustrated--back doc dropped the ball on setting me up with the pain clinic and when I called to find out when my appt was after a week of not hearing from them, they had never heard of me so I got put at the end of the line--not till end of Oct.

Captain what you need is... a HUG!

Yowzer- what a day! Know that my LAB loves the front seat... your puppy (who is probably not the size of a puppy anymore but proably still hyper- is 2 years now?) will be happy to be up there as you rest hopefully comfy in the back seat.

Great big cyber HUG from Oregon!

Sure thinking about you, Deb ......  Hoping and praying that all goes well with this surgery and that your pain level is reduced to a manageable level.  Sorry for the delay with the pain clinic ..... bummer!

Four hours north I will be having an endoscopy while you are having your surgery.  When I come out of the Versed, I'll send positive vibes down to Charlotte!!

Many prayers for you!

Spoke to our Capt yesterday and should be leaving her house shortly for the ride.  She sounded ok.... her back is hurting more than her nerves for tomorrow.  Told her "well, at least it will take your mind off your throat..." ;)  I think she was going to reach through the phone and smack me! ;)  :)  Have pirate socks all set for tomorrow (ok, crew of the PBW, make sure your pirate gear is ready!) and Dr Love will hopefully phone me tomorrow with her update so I can share with everyone here.

Capt.... if you are lurking from that mobile phone of your's....... *SMOOCHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

Yowza! There prolly ain't a pirate sock left in the whole of North America!  I'm wearin' my pink ones with my bee-yoo-tee-ful hand-painted shocking purple two-tone clogs (which all the nursies at the pre-ops loved today.). Am down there at grandscallywags relaxing on some good meds! Yee hee hee!

Jeesh it sounds like I'm having AN surgery the way you folks are going on.  You who have been through THAT should know that this will be a piece-a-cake and will be like being run over by a moped compared to the AN Mack truck!

Thanks for all your thoughts and well wishes--I can FEEL the love (sniff, sniff)

One less body part fer this here salty wench!!!

I thought about saying my prayers in pirate speak, but decided that I'd probably crack up before I got through them, so I will instead send up sincere prayers in plain English for a speedy recovery!
