Looks like I need to go under the knife again !!  .. this time for a gall-bladder polyp.   Its been causing me a lot of pain over the last few weeks ... at least this should be a quickie surgery ... and should not cause me to miss the brunch ! :)

Joef -

glad the impending surgery isn't AN or BAHA related.  That was my first thought when reading the title of this topic.

Hope the procedure is uneventful and the recovery is swift and painless.

And whatever you do, don't miss those apple dumplings.  They are famous worldwide - well, at least here on the Forum.

One of these days I'm going to get me one of those apple dumplings.

Hi, Joe ~

I have to admit that you had me going with that topic heading but now that I know it's gall bladder-related and not AN-related, I'm a bit relieved but still sorry you need surgery, which, I assume, will be endoscopic and thus, minimally invasive and with a very rapid recovery.  My wife, the lovely and gracious Tina, underwent surgery a few years ago to remove her gall bladder and it was relatively easy.  Your polyp removal should be even easier.

I'm sorry I'll miss seeing you at the ANA brunch in Worcester on the 17th but a scheduling conflict arose and I reluctantly had to bow out.  You can have my dumpling.  I'll be at the spring conclave.  See you then.

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

My oldest daughter had her gallbladder out 3 weeks ago.    Sore for a few days and then felt fine and enjoyed her 2 weeks off and went shopping some while the kids were in school and at the sitter.         Back from the OR at 2 and home at 5.         When I was working we kept alot of our gallbladders overnight.         Like everything else, it all varies!                        Cheryl R

Thanks for the good laugh!    Maybe I should say we kept the gallbladder patients all night!      I even hate to think where the gall bladder ended up past surgery.              Cheryl R
