. . .hit the wrong button. . .damn. . .

Anyway, she arrived home, safe and sound, looking haggard, but decent.  The plane ride home wasn't too bad.  Used a wheel chair in LA, but walked around SLC.  Walked around IFRA, as well.  She's so strong and blessed to have come through like she has.  The nuns actually shaved her head pretty decently.  She has a comb-over!!  Her scar is huge.  It's shaped like a ? .  She came home and crashed for a few hours, and now she's up and watching some tv, chatting with family and getting ready to have her glass of wine.  Her lofty goal for tomorrow is to drink coffee on the deck facing the fields.  (We live in farm land).  It will be nice to have my coffee buddy back.  I go to the store tomorrow to stock up on necessitites, and now it's just time to baby her and take care of her.  She seems really pleased to be home.  She was excited to use her own toilet, ride in her own car, and sit on her own couch.  I can't imagine how nice it was to sleep in her own bed.  I'm sure either she will be posting soon, or I'll post for her.

God Bless,
Andrea

Wonderful News Andrea.....now tell her to quit being so lazy and get back on here so everyone can get the direct scoop from her.  Glad, glad, glad to hear all was well with the trip and we all can attest to how great it is to be back with our own stuff.

Wench Karla reporting back to duty!! :D I am so relieved to be through the surgery and am looking forward to the recovery process. I feel like I was so blessed during the entire time in L.A. The doctors and nurses were wonderful and I know that was where I should have been. My sister met some of the nicest people from all over the world while at the House. I thnk that we made some life time friends from Isreal.
I had the mid fossa done and we think that my hearing has been saved. The tumor was bigger than they thought so I bled more than expected, thus I was given a blood transfusion. I ended up with a fair amout of blood in my spinal fluid so the lower back pain and leg pain has been pretty intense. Today I have had a fairly intense headache so I am taking pain meds today.

I cannot even start to thank all of you for the packages, prayers and cards. You made me cry and laugh all the whilie feeling so blessed to have such great people in my life. This does not even address how much your friednship and support meant to my daughter. I know that she was able to move through this because of your acts of kindness and support. Even my 13 year old has come to love you becuase of all the wonderful things you have done in our familiy. She hopes to become a wench one day hersellf.

Typing on the computor wears me out so I will close for now. I love you all and thanks for all the support and kindness.

Karla

P.S. I made it through the semester with a 4.0 even with Statistics.
