Thank the Lord for seasonal allergies!
« on: April 04, 2011, 06:41:00 am »
My eyes have been watering non-stop for a few days now. And I am very happy about this.

A year ago, my left eye wouldn't close, let alone produce a tear. So, rather than complain about my allergies I'll simply celebrate their normalcy.

Have a great day everyone!

Yes, it is a little strange what we are thankful for, huh? Good icon! :'(
Enjoy your nonstop watering eyes. I would imagine the novelty will wear off after a while, but yay, you've got tears!

Congratulations, Tod! Am happy for you and hope mine (tears in left eye) will be back soon, too!  Other than that, most of my left functions are sort of back...except for the occasional little leak from the left side of my mouth when I brush my teeth.  >:D

Makes me wish I had allergies to all this Pollen here in Georgia!  :(
Left-Translab July '09. Cyberknife Jan 2010. In Apr 2017, four more tumors found; three in the brain and one, 7cm long, on my spinal cord; it was surgically removed. It was cancerous, and so are the others. I've been receiving Chemo since June '18, and I'm still in treatment.

Tod,
Congrats on the tears.  I do not get tears in my AN eye since my surgery in May, 2010.  I do not have allergies ( and I live in the Midwest).   However, last week I was putting some horseradish on some beef (believe it or not, my father and I had horseradish eating contests) and it was really strong.  Tears were streaming from both eyes.  Ever since then, however, I have no tears in that eye.  Thanks God for seasonal allergies and horseradish, too.

I, too, have no tears on my AN side.  I saw a dry eye specialist a couple of months ago and told him the only time I have anything at all is when I go out in the bright sun.  He said these are "emergency tears", so I know there is at least something there (and maybe hope for the future?).  I wonder if this is the same with the allergies and horseradish?   ???
