UPMC or Mayo Radiation Experience
« on: May 03, 2011, 08:41:41 pm »
Hi Everyone,

First, thanks for taking the time to read this and for continuing to support everyone going through similar situations as yourself.
Secondly, I am in the process of determining where to seek radiation treatment for my acoustic. If anyone has had any experience with Dr. Konziolka at UPMC, or Dr. Link at Mayo in Rochester, I would greatly appreciate your feedback and insight.

Thanks again;

Eric

Eric,

I have not had radiation but Dr. Link performed a translab on me in January.  He is very attentive and I saw him daily after the surgery.  Mayo is a great facility.  Sorry I can't address radiation but wanted to comment on Dr. Link.

Just saw Dr. Link at Mayo today for my husband.  Really liked him and all the staff.  Will be doing GK in August.  They don't make false promises because no one can guarantee anything, but they were confident in what they thought was best and really listened to our wants.
