Pay closer attention.  ::)

My stars were blue, and now my squares are, because I am a moderator. Phyl's are red, because she is now an Administrator (which must always be capitalized).

Some of us may find orange and red harder to read. I know I have mild red-green color blindness, and red is not a good font color for me in any circumstance. But we can live with it.

One interesting item: if you go to your profile, and look under Modify Profile, and click on Look and Layout, there is actually an option to select a different theme for yourself. The Babylon theme looks quite a bit like the old forum theme, although it is not as polished, and seems to be missing a few things.

I'm kinda partial to shades of purple. If I ask da bloke, he looks at me with a blank face..... he's 80% color blind (his brother is 20% color blind!).

Steve makes a good point about check your profile settings in "Modify profile" to see if changing it around helps to suit your needs better.

For those of you that have been around a while.... we went through a change a few years back and we all adapted..... well, it may be that time again...... so hang tough.  Still no final answer yet as changes are still occurring behind the scenes, so hang in there with us.

The good news...... no indicator of spammers during the overnight hours and for that.... I am VERY grateful! Still lost sleep tho'!  Fireworks went off in the neighborhood late last night.... Bruins won the Stanley Cup!  ;D

Thanks, Steve! That is exactly the answer to my original question. I switched to the former default and am black to shades of blue.

Well, personally, I think we are all stars; not squares - so I vote for that change!

Didn't realize that Phyl is an Administrator.  Is this a promotion?  Or does it just mean she gets to do more work without pay?  LOL

Thanks for the tip on making changes in our profile section, Steve.

See . . . I AM paying attention!!!  ;)

Jan, if you switch to Core Theme, the stars are back.

For a minute I read that wrong and thought it said "the stars are black" - and I was wondering why Lori and I didn't got those  ;D

Thanks for the tip, Saralynn.

Okay, I'm done whining about the changes to the Forum - at least I'm pretty sure I am.

Am wondering though why we didn't get a longer field for inputting our personal message under our profile pictures.  It's something Kaybo's mentioned lots of times, and I have to say I concur (big word for me, I know).  I'm forever thinking of sayings to put under my profile picture and just not having enough space to do so.

Are you taking notes, Phyl  ???  Isn't that part of the Administrator's job?  ;)

Well, my last post said I was done whining, so I'll phrase this question as tactfully as I can.

How come every time the Forum is updated, we lose "historical" information?  It seems like every time I search for old threads that I know are out there, because I read them at some point, I can't find them.

I'd think I was searching incorrectly, but I know how to search; it's not that difficult  :)

Is there some way to not lose "old stuff" when we update?

To me one of the great things about the Forum is reading the posts of those who came before us; some very valuable stuff.

Jan,
PM the search words your trying so I can see the issues.  The update was software only,  so the data (messages) "should" be all the same... but let see.

Kaybo, there is a search menu button after home and health at the top of the page. If you click there there is an advanced search option. Or click on the magnifying glass to the left of the search box.

Jan, the black star comment was very funny. I kinda like my gold stars.

I have been on vacation and am just now back on the forum.  That will teach me to go away and leave you people unattended! New look? Hmmm-m-m-m... I will just keep reminding myself that different is just different, not bad.

I'm glad to have more than one option - the orange was harder for me to see, but it's there for those who find it easier.

Thanks guys!
