Rayovac Batteries

For some reason I can not use Rayovac batteries in my BAHA. When ever I put use one the orange light stays on and it won't power up. I use a Powerone and it works everytime. It was not just one Rayovac but 5 from two different packs including replacements sent by the Rayovac.

Has anyone had this problem?

I stay away from Rayovac batteries because they aren't that good for my old hearing aids.  I used buy them by packs of 4 or 6 and every time, I would find one dead battery in the pack.  I switched to Powerone for my BAHA and been happy ever since.

Interestingly, my audiologist uses all Rayovac and I started using them instead of the power one.  I have found the Rayovacs last longer and I've had no problem.

Rayovec batteries have a reputation as being one of the less expensive batteries on the market, so I'm not surprised you're having trouble with them.

I typically use Duracell (orange, size 13) and don't have any issues with them.

I was gifted with some free PowerOne batteries by Cochlear and have been using them for the past few months, but find they are no different than my Duracells.  I think they cost more though, which is why I wouldn't be using them if they weren't free

Earlier this year I bought 60 Powerone barrteies from Amazon for under $20.00.

I typically buy my Duracells @ Walmart - and I often use a coupon from the Sunday paper.  The price there is very reasonable.

I generally put Duracells in the Official BAHA Recovery Kits that Lori and I send out.  I'm not sure which brand Lori buys when she sends out the kits.

PowerOne batteries are a little pricer than Duracells and I, personally, don't think the higher cost gives me any higher quality.

Powerone batteries are great! Try ordering them online from microbattery.com.

The price is very reasonable and they arrive quickly.
