Problems standing on leg opposite AN side?
« on: March 01, 2012, 09:09:38 am »
I've been having problems standing on my left leg, but my AN is on my right side. Anyone else have this problem?

Not that this will answer you question but, do you have trouble standing on your right leg?  I have some balance issues that effect both legs equally.

The balance problem is in your brain, not in your legs. Try it with your eyes closed, and you will discover that your legs are not the problem.

I have no problem standing on my right leg, which is the side my AN is, but can't balance on my left leg.

Not sure I had a right sided stroke but my my AN is on my left cannot balance on my right, is it because of weakness on my stroke side? No problems balancing on my left!

are you right handed? it is not uncommon for 'normal' people to find balancing on their dominant side easier than the other side.
i have trouble standing on either leg; it is worse on my left (non dominant side) - my tumour is left sided.

;D Please define normal!  I was born right handed, at 13 I had a stroke at 17 I had another and became left handed! This AN experience for me is a little different for me than most people in that my stroke side my body is weaker than my left or AN side ::) The result is I am more upbeat than most because I have had a lot to deal with for a long time.
