Wait a minute!  You get music!!!  Don't know how I would really hear or enjoy music under those conditions.  It would probably ruin me for music.

They put headphones on me and pipe in local radio stations. We've got a good oldies station and I was groovin' to the sounds of the Seventies.

"Big wheel keeps on turning, proud Mary keeps on burning."

Try holding still for Tina Turner. Had to stop myself from moving around in time with the music.

The music really does help mute the noise of the machine quite a bit.

Thanks for Sharing!!!  I enjoyed them both!

I've been going for MRIS for 5-6 years for my AN and a couple other brain issues.  I have been to 4 different (specialists) places overall for MRIs and ALL 4 places offer headphones with music ;-)  I think of they didn't offer music fore to help drown out the sounds, I'd need something else to relax me.  Thankfully the music helps!!

I just can't imagine the music on top of that noise.  Plus I would have the MRI associated with whatever music was playing at the time.  It's like colonoscopies and jello.  Once you've been throught that experience it's hard to snack on jello ever again  :)
Diag: 08/11/2009 Left side
AN: 0.6cm.  65% Hearing loss, tinnitus, fullness, minor motion issues.
hearing loss over 25+ years.  MRI in 2000 showed nothing.
Optical Atrophy from infantcy
Watch and Wait.
As of 2017 I am on a 2 year MRI frequency.

Checked your theory by going to youtube and listening to Proud Mary. Nope, doesn't remind me of the MRI at all.

I've had two colonoscopies in my life so far and I can still eat jello. Never occurred to me that there was an issue.

Jack- One of the few things you can eat the day before the colonoscopy is jello.  8+)
I'm also standing my ground on the music thing.

Oh for Me, the music 'helped' drowned out the MRI noise.  Although, I Love music, so the times helped my brain refocus to the Tunes of theistic & not the MRI ;-)
{good thing the music wasn't too  good, I'd probably get introuble for 'moving' to the beat to much} hahaha
