Seeking people who had GAMMA KNIFE treatment in AUSTRALIA -Sydney ?!

Hi there

Is there anyone in the discussion forum who had GK in Australia, or know anyone who had GK in Australia?! It would be so good to get in contact and get feedback.

I am very keen for GK at MacQuire University-Sydney/Australia, but they are fairly new at GK treatment. It may sound silly but I am wondering whether this would be a factor in deciding on the treatment, e.g in terms of efficacy, complication rates and so ?!
My knowledge is limitted in GK. I would appreciate advice on this please.

(I must state that the radiation oncologist I saw seemed very knowledgable and a decent person to whom I feel I could trust my care !)

Ask the doctors how many GKs they have done since the first one in August 2010 and what the findings have been in post treatment follow-ups.

My knowledge is limitted in GK. I would appreciate advice on this please.

You'll find plenty of information on the process just by googling it.

However, the following article appears to be the most comprehensive recent compilations of studies comparing treatment methods and results that cover a period of 10 to 15 years and many thousands of patients.
