One Year Anniversary and Roller Coasters!
« on: June 04, 2005, 05:31:51 pm »
;D Yesterday, June 3,  I celebrated my 1 yr anniversary of surgery. I had a 4 cm AN that had been diagnosed 3 weeks prior to surgery. I underwent 20 hours of surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Ohio with Dr. Megerian and Dr. Selman. I was in the hospital fo 8 days and in rehab for 8 days.

I still have facial paralysis and my eye does not yet blink. It has watered on occasion. I have SSD and am waiting for insurance approval for the BAHA.

For my anniversary my husband and I went to Cedar Point Amusement Park. I rode the roller coasters and everything was fine. I noticed no difference from before surgery. Except for the face stuff I felt NORMAL again. There is life after AN!!! ;D
