7 years ago I was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma (a rare benign brain tumor). It completely flipped my young life upside down. After a very lengthy (13 hour) surgery by one of the best surgeons around, I began my recovery and got right back to work and life. A few years later, I was blessed with my two beautiful children who I love more than life itself. The one thing I did not have was peace of mind that the small bit of tumor left behind would not grow. Each time I would prepare for an MRI, I would struggle with much anxiety and stress. Well, this year my prayers were finally answered! My MRI showed a drastic reduction in the size and my surgeon calls it “remarkable”. He says it seems like it is gone for good and should no longer be a worry for me! I have my peace! It’s all I’ve wanted every Christmas since the day I was diagnosed.
