SIX MONTH MRI
« on: June 22, 2014, 08:16:48 pm »
I am happy to bring some more good news to the forum.  Just had my six month MRI and both doctors say it looks very good.  Either no tumor at all, or a very small remnant.  Next MRI in nine months.  I am particularly impressed with Dr Schwartz.  When I said I did not fully understand the first readout of the MRI, he sent me a detailed email along with pictures of my MRI where he marked the areas he was describing.  Really excellent for someone like me who needed a detailed explanation.

As far as recovery I am walking, biking, mowing the lawn, cleaned the gutters, moving big rocks, etc.  Doing great!!!  There are great doctors elsewhere, but I am still glad I traveled to House for my personal AN journey.  It is a great option.
Dx 2.6 cm Nov 2012, 35% hearing loss.  Grew to 3.5 cm Oct 2013.  Pre-op total hearing loss, left side tongue numb.  Translab Nov 2013 House Clinic.  Post-op no permanent facial or other issues.  Tongue much improved.  Great result!!

Rich ~

Congratulations! Thanks for this very encouraging update.  :)

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Glad to hear the MRI looked good. I have my 6-month post-op MRI next week and am anxious to see what it will show.

I am very happy I can bring good news to the forum.  I was such a worrier.  There are so many good results happening.  For all those worriers like I was, focus on what you can control.  Pick doctors with a lot of experience and great track records.  Then you have given yourself a very good chance at a great result, and that's all anyone can ask.

If anyone out there is overly anxious and would like to hear my story, please feel free to PM me.  God Bless.
