dinning with chelsea
« on: September 25, 2006, 10:10:09 pm »
Hello All,
The following is an e-mail that my husband wrote today.

I just received a phone call from Chelsea.  She was thrilled.  She's out at UCLA where she had an appointment with  a throat/swallowing disorder specialist.  He did an analysis and gave the go-ahead to attempt swallowing some soft foods.

Chelsea and Michelle went out and bought some deli food.  Lasagna with meat sauce, scalloped potatoes, Ambrosia salad, macaroni and cheese.  I hadn't realized it but apparently these are the finest and best tasting goumet foods on this earth!

This is the first food that she has had since some strawberry cheesecake she was craving the night before surgery on June 17th.  That was ninety-nine and a half days ago.  It's hard to imagine what that would be like (with the exception of those of you who have done time).

It is so good to be able to continue reporting good news.

Gratefully,

George, Michelle, Chase, and Chelsea

This is a great day!!!!

Michelle

That's wonderful!!!!!!! All the things I would have chosen as well, with the exception that I would have ordered some chocolate mousse or something!!!   I bet it was fabulous to have real food in front of her!!!!  Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
