MRI Tomorrow!!!!
« on: October 01, 2006, 05:15:49 pm »
Hi folks!
Well, I'm off tomorrow for my first post-op MRI! Wearing full PBW Uniform and accessories and will try to get one of the techs to take a pic of me lying in the giant Rum Barrel--no metal objects allowed in, but I may be able to sneak a pic before they crank it up! My follow-up appt with the nuero isn't for 2 weeks, but I'm requesting a copy of the radiologists report and copies of the scans before then--I think I know what an AN looks like.  I had an MRI 10 months post op looking for an explanation for the terrible headaches I was having and the radiologists report said a "possible acoustic neuroma" but it was the fat pack used to plug up the space that he was seeing, or so said Dr Friedman when I sent the scans to him. The only thing I'm really nervous about is the contrast shot because I have very fragile viens that like to roll and hide when they see a big needle comin' at 'em! :P

Anyway wish me luck!

Good Luck, Capt. Deb !  Hope you can find out what's causing those headaches.  Remember to ask for the Ear Plugs when you go in there.

After your done you need a tim tam to reward yourself...had my first one tonight so I'm no longer a tim tam virgin...my son shared one with me and said, "you know these are like those keebler cookies, only better"!  I can see I'll be needing to hide my tim tam stash as he'll be lookin' to plunder me stash  >:(

Deb: By now you've recovered for your ride in the Indian war drum, hope it went ok and you got out of it with you veins intact.
