Last week my insurance company approved the upgrade to a Baha 4.
AN surgery 8/19/10, 9.5 hrs
8mm x 5mm left side
Retrosigmoid, Drs Reichert & Harvey
Severe hearing loss in the left ear before surgery. SSD after surgery. Balance issues. Tinnitus (mild). Buzzing in left ear.
BAHA implant surgery 11/17/10
BAHA activation 2/1/11

Tell me about the BAHA 4.

I remember you were having problems with your BP100 cracking a few years ago. Is this change related to that? If not, why do you think your insurance company gave you the okay if your BP100 is working.

My Baha 4 was activated on Dec 15. What a difference over the 100. Especially in sound quallity. I see my audio next week to get the mapping tweeked. The wireless devices also enhance the Baha 4.
