need help finding surgeon in portland area
« on: April 29, 2015, 06:13:12 pm »
Hello,
My AN tumor was found in September, I was W&W for four months, the next MRI scan showed it had grown a little, so I want to have surgery to
remove the tumor. I am having  a difficult time finding a surgeon, I would  greatly appreciate anyone who has had surgery in the Portland,  Seattle area
if they could recommend someone, I want to make sure I go to a surgeon who has a lot of experience. I have been extremely stressed out about this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Any luck finding an AN surgeon yet?  My wife has just been diagnosed with AN (right ear).  We live on the central Oregon Coast.

Hello,
I have been on watch & wait since last Oct. My last 2 MRI's showed growth. I am going to have surgery end of Oct. I am going to OHSU, my Neurosurgeon is Dr. Ciporen, he is Director of Neurosurgery at OHSU, I did get second & third opinion, I am back with Dr. Ciporen. Please contact me if you have any questions. How big is your wife's Tumor? Mine is also in the right ear. where exactly do you guys live on Central Coast?

Wondering about the experience you had with OHSU and Dr. Ciporen. I'm contemplating OHSU as well but for radiation treatment.

It's been more than 2 years since you were to have your surgery. How are you?
Rt. side AN diagnosis 2-2015: 15 x 10 x 10 mm
MRI 9-2015:  16 x 11 x 11 mm
MRI 11-2016: 19 x 13 x 13 mm
MRI 4-2018: 19 x 12 x 14
