Hi Everyone, A few weeks back, I had my first vertigo attack. After which all returned to normal. Ten days later, I was lying on the floor and was pulled up quickly and I experienced another vertigo attack. Since I had to fly within the next few days, I went to a doctor. My primary doctor did a simply test and determined I had BPPV. He sent me to an ENT specialist who agreed with him. My ENT doctor decided not to do the Epley Manuever on me because he said I might feel unwell on my trip. I returned to him, but again he did not do the Epley Manuever because I did not get vertigo when he put me in different positions. He believed perhaps it was a residue of Miclisine or that perhaps the crystals had settled. Being nervous, I consulted a family friend who is also an ENT and he said that the Epley Manuever should not be done without a VNG. I've been feeling very unsteady for two weeks, but I haven't had vertigo. Should I get a VNG before the Epley Manuever is performed? Thank you for any responses.
